Ricardo Almeida

Ricardo had spent the majority of his youth in two ways 1) Working in major recording studios manipulating computers to make convincing music 2) collecting analog synthesisers and performing live electronic music in a plethora of questionable venues.

Then in 2006 Ricardo joined EA as an interactive music composer/implementer on EA’s first “Next Gen” release titled NBA Street Homecourt. Fast-forward to 2010 Ricardo shifted into a new role at EA, one that would offer the chance to influence musical creativity across the entire EA games portfolio. Ricardo now spends the majority of his time at EA in two ways….

1) Shaping the award winning licensed soundtracks for FIFA, NBA Live, Fight Night, UFC, NHL, SSX, Madden and Need for Speed.

2) Building and directing creative relationships with composers. Collaborating with composers in delivering interactive music assets that exceed project expectations. Some notable previous composers collaborations include, RJD2, The Herbaliser, Amon Tobin, The Roots, Konrad Oldmoney, Junkie XL, Atticus Ross, Lorne Balfe, Hans Zimmer, Photek, Madeon, Jeff Russo, Peter McConnell, Mark Petrie, The Qemists, Pretty Lights.
