JonSpade

John Landry became JonSpade back in 1992 when the station manager for a small YYC AM band called 1060 told him his given name sucked. Besides sharing it with a famous Canadian country star, prior to 2000, who could have known that an alias would be beneficial in the google world of analytics.

37 years in the club industry, touring around Canada for part of it, producing, making an appearance on Much Music's Electric Circus, dabbling in radio on and off and plying his trade in the trenches at some of Calgary's best and, worst clubs. John also ran Western Canada's only record pool which serviced British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan as Westbeat for just over 20 years.

These days John has reinvented himself, one more time, to bring his own particular brand of house to the masses. He is one of the primary J9 DJs hosting After School and the popular all vinyl Hump Day Wednesdays. When he's not working that, he's in high demand on the corporate circuit, providing ambience with his stable of well honed musicians accompanying him through a carefully cultivated blend of house and jazz.

What's next for John? The sky's the limit. You can listen to some of his mixes at mixcloud.com/jonspade or follow him on facebook.com/djjonspade
