Isis Graham / Esette

For the past 20 years house music artist Esette (Isis Graham) has played an instrumental role in shaping Calgary’s dance music landscape into the internationally recognized hotspot that it is today. Her 30-plus releases have received support from artists like Maceo Plex, Fred Everything, Giom, Luke McKeehan, Animal Trainer, Vanilla Ace, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, DJ Heather, DOZA, Maya Jane Coles and Pezzner.

In 1999 she began DJing, and after local bylaws brought about the end of raves the following year she brought her Chicago-influenced house tracks to some of the most notable venues of the last decade. In 2003 Graham was invited to become a founding member of Girls on Decks, a group dedicated to increasing the visibility of women in dance music. In late 2013, became a co-owner of the new re-launched Substation Recordings, a label dedicated to showcasing the avant-garde of western Canadian house and techno on a world platform. In 2014, she also helped to launch the first community based music listening party at Habitat Living sound; Studio Social which has since inspired many other similar projects like Groundwerk in Vancouver and Feedback Loop in Winnipeg.

Chris Goss

Hospital Records is an independent record label based in South London. Primarily releasing Drum+Bass, the label was started in 1996 by Tony Colman and Chris Goss and has grown in recent years to become one of the most well known labels within UK dance music. The label is home to artists such as High Contrast, London Elektricity, Netsky, Danny Byrd, Camo & Krooked, Logistics, Nu:Tone, Fred V & Grafix and Cyantific, but also releases tracks from a whole host of other artists across the D+B genre. From its HQ in Forest Hill, South London, Hospital also runs the more experimental label Med School, as well as publishing company “Songs In The Key Of Knife” and their worldwide events brand “Hospitality”.

Perry Gilman

Perry Gilman

A DJ since the age of 13, Perry Gilman always had his hands in music. Growing up in Montreal, he completed his undergrad at Concordia University, while heading his universities events team and had his own radio show on CJLO. He then moved to Toronto and in his first year, he worked on two different prime time TV shows, interned at Warner/Chappell, DJ’ed three nights a week in clubs and completed a second degree in music business at the Harris Institute. 

After school, he spent six years at The Feldman Agency. With a goal to expand his business outside the Canadian border for his artists, he left and joined Madison House, helping open their Canadian office, where he spent three years booking the companies roster in Canada, while servicing his own artists across colleges, corporates events, festivals and club touring throughout North America and abroad. 

In September 2018, Perry joined Paradigm Talent Agency in their Toronto Office as a Music Agent bringing with him a select group of artists including Grandtheft, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Crywolf, Wuki, Golf Clap and Calgary's own, Smalltown DJs and Beach Season among others.

Lin Gardiner

Lin Gardiner

Lin Gardiner is a music producer, recording and mix engineer and sound designer who has worked extensively in the music industry, video game industry and audio post for film and television. Lin has worked on over 20 published video games, from mobile and casual to several AAA titles. Most recently, Lin's work is focused on providing music direction, interactive music system design and implementation for Relic Entertainment, a Sega-owned studio based in Vancouver.

Carissa Gem

Carissa Gem

Starting out as a teenage DIY rave maven in interior British Columbia, Carissa Gem has seen a substantial rise in profile since moving to Calgary. Her persistent desire to improve her curatorial and bass-tastic musical skills is paying off with membership in the Sub Chakra crew, a hand in the HiFi Club’s fixture New Wave nights and a prime Friday night slot on CJSW. Lord knows where the bass will take her next.

Marcus Gurske

As the principal of Marcus Gurske & Associates and formerly Play It By Ear Productions (PIBE), Marcus has 25 years' experience ranging from public affairs, corporate communications, large scale event production and the entertainment industry. He has also very community as an appointed member of Edmonton's NEXT GENERATION TASK FORCE whose mission is to create a city that attracts and gives voice to the Next Generation in the life and growth of the community. The Committee acted as a hub for networking and learning events, fosters leadership opportunities and supports initiatives of interest to the Next Generation. As a follow up he served as a member of the spin off City of Edmonton Administration committee known as the NEXT GEN COMMITTEE from 2005-2008.

Additionally, Marcus was the lead on the drafting of a new cultural policy document that became the Spirit of Alberta - Alberta's Cultural Policy which has been officially adopted as Alberta's official cultural policy. The focus of the policy was to acknowledge new cultural and society art forms and improve e-access, e-inclusion, capacity building, harmonizing of resources and looked at the short and the long-term goals for the digital exposition of culture in Alberta.

Len Goins


Len Goins is an unbiased veteran of hardware and software integration.
Equally adept in hardware modular synthesizer systems and computer-based production environments, Len is a champion of the hybrid approach. The best of both worlds.
The right tool for the right job. Make everything work with everything else.

Beginning with stints in "traditional" bands (Majesty in Misery, CrocShop, the Brimstones, the von Drats, the Sends), Len started out as a synthesist, sound designer, and drummer/percussionist. Becoming more interested in experimental techniques and alternative control systems, Len began focusing his efforts on improvisational ensembles (mortmain, 5-pin DIN, Zero at Infinity, G-Group), art installations and festivals (Oracle @ Ryerson U., Biology as Peep Show @ Shared Habitat), soundtrack work (xxx, Fanboy Confessional), and workflow/implementation consultancy, training and demonstration.

Adam Geosphere


Since the 1990's Geosphere has been a dedicated DJ and promoter of underground electronic
music and culture. A mainstay in Western Canada's Techno music and rave family.
After an incredible introduction to Calgary's old school underground music community and an
early obsession collecting vinyl records, Geo began mixing Deep House, Minimal and Ambient.
Over the years his sounds have progressed into harder more intense Techno and Drum and Bass. In 1998 he started throwing independent dance parties and events as Envirotribe Productions
now known as Nocturnal Symptoms around Alberta and more recently Saskatchewan.

Through the course of his journey he has headlined, held down residence and performed across
Canada and into the USA alongside some of the most respected names in the industry.
He has played at many notable events, festivals and venues such as Connect, Shambhala, MEMETIC, Motion Notion, Earthdance, Brian Eno's 77 Million Paintings exhibition tour, The Glenbow Museum and The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. He has been billed along side the likes of Infected Mushroom, Akufen, John Tejada, Deko-ze, DJ Dan, John 00 Fleming, Crystal Method, Eddie Santini, Optical, Ace Ventura, Mr. C, Mat The Alien, Jay Haze, Nick Thayer, Father Funk, Desert Dwellers and Dieselboy.

In 2006 Adam began working with Ableton Live, keyboards and midi controllers creating his own music and Live-PA sets. The following year, he formed the Calgary based electronic music trio band "Blulife" with Canadian vocalist Emma Aurchid and UK music producer Nicholas Reark. Geosphere now lives in Saskatchewan and continues to promote underground electronic music. Known for his trippy, tribal and hypnotic sound, Geosphere will take your mind, body and soul on a journey into underground electronic music environments. Peace. Love. Unity. Respect.
