This year, we have a new volunteer position for someone looking to learn digital communication and content management skills. We created this position to support our website and communications team to better share . You’ll work directly with our Directors to develop a clear communications strategy around our conference content and performers and assist with the uploading and maintenance of our artist and content directory.
This position is perfect for someone who is interested in gaining first hand experience with digital communication, marketing strategy, content management, web development, and festival management.
We’re looking for someone with the following:
Experience working with Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets Dropbox, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
Experience using Squarespace or Wordpress for content uploading/management is a plus
An interest in digital communication and web content/design
Great written and verbal communication abilities
Working with the conference Directors to develop an online communication strategy that showcases the artists and conference sessions at AEMCON effectively
Responsible for upload of all content for artist bios, conference session details, night events, sponsor logos
Responsible for minor web content and social media updates when needed
Assistance deploying newsletters during the conference period (Using Mailchimp)
Sponsor post scheduling on social media when required
