We’re excited to reveal its first wave of headliners for AEMCON2017. Featuring local and international icons like Bass Coast curator The Librarian, Foreign Beggars and SpectraSoul, plus representatives from Ableton, Roland, Pioneer DJ, the Paquin Artists Agency, and 411 Music Group – 2017 promises to be our best year yet, in the wake of a wildly-successful 2016.
Join us for another 4-day gathering of musicians, artists and tastemakers of all stripes, aiming to bring Canadians with a love of music together in order to foster conversation and create new partnerships.
“Our second year has seen the conference really grow in size and scope, and we’re very proud of the diverse selection of artists and industry influencers that we have performing and speaking,” says conference co-founder Isis Graham (aka Esette.)
“We’ve brought together a truly diverse selection of artists and music industry insiders, to help develop Canadian electronic artists in a way that hasn’t been tried before. With Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre, as our venue, we believe that this will be a one-of-a-kind event for artists of all kinds.” continues Andrew Williams (aka Dunmore Park.)
From Nov. 16-19, 2017, we’ve lined up a suite of diverse nighttime programming, supported by a comprehensive daytime workshops led by Factor Canada, Ableton Certified Trainer Vespers, Mitch Lee and Timothy Allan of Beat Drop, and John Leimseider of the National Music Centre, among others.
“Western Canada's robust music scene needed a conference like AEMCON – the perfect balance of education, networking and new music,” explains Sheena Jardine-Olade, who participated in last year’s conference as a panelist on succeeding in the music industry. “I am excited to see all the amazing potential I saw packed in a weekend filled with workshops, showcases, swap meets and demonstrations, to supersede my highest expectations this year.”
